5Sledgehammer Sentence
Sledgehammer Sentence is a book that tells about
the nostalgic feelings of isolation and
confinement. It takes the readers into the mind
of a person who is alone in a small cell of
concrete. That person has to spend precious time
of his life in a small piece of the place. There
is no open sky for him, there is no way to go
home for him, there is no one he can share his
feelings with, there is no one to talk to, life
decreases, decreases, and decreases without any
enjoyable moment day by day.
6He misses his family, he misses all the beautiful
moments he lived in the past, he lives with the
feeling of separation. The over-incarceration can
hit the internal feelings of anyone that can
break the person from inside. The internal
environment of the sentenced cell makes the
person sad to the core. This internal sadness
kills the person gradually. Living with this
sadness for years and years makes the person. Do
you ever think who is responsible for it? The
writer asks this question from society. Seeing
anything from this type of different angle is the
ability of Chidi Ezeobi. He is a writer who pens
feelings and emotions. He strings the feeling in
words.
