A machine tender working at Simply Appraisals in
Shower Terrace, Columbia, USA.
2
What does a Machine Tender do?
  • They work position that requires managing the
operation and performance of some type of
machinery or equipment. Typically, a machine
tender will be responsible for not only operating
the assigned machinery but also for handling the
day-to-day tasks associated with maintaining the
equipment so that it performs efficiently.
  • Machine operators are responsible for performing
tasks that are directly related to the actual
production of goods associated with the machine
itself. In contrast, a machine tender will not
only operate the machinery but also engage in
tasks that are designed to manage the upkeep of
the equipment and help promote efficient
    production.
  • Machine tender is not usually required to perform
in-depth repairs to equipment, the maintenance
tasks that are carried out according to specific
standards set by the employer are very important.
  • They also operate injection-molding machines that
make plastic parts and products. Operators
monitor the many gauges on injection-molding
machines and adjust different inputs, pressures,
    and speeds to maintain quality.

How do we improve Productivity in Machine ?
  • Reduce setup time so that your machine is
actually producing while it is scheduled.
  • Buy better tools. Cheap tools fail more often and
    less predictably, resulting in increased
downtime. No production during downtime, and
parts made as tools fail are likely rejected.
  • Train your operators. A trained operator is far
more alert to the process than a machine tender
  • A reliable machine to achieve the highest
    productivity
  • Effective machining equipment
  • The right motor for higher production
  • Simultaneous machining operations
  • Use the right cutting tools
  • Versatility to achieve higher productivity
  • Operator training to improve productivity
