ABOUT UNIVERSITY
Srikakulam was created by the State of Andhra
Pradesh Government G.O vide MS No 89 Higher
Education (UE.II) Department on 25/06/2008. Also,
with the goal of supplementing education
facilities in the Srikakulam District and meeting
the educational requirements of the district's
residents. However, with a measures of improving
higher education facilities to the underdeveloped
regions of the Srikakulam District, Andhra
University came forward in 1977-1978 in
Srikakulam in the aura and status of Andhra
University Post Graduate Extension Centre, later
as Andhra University Dr BR Ambedkar PG Centre,
with UGC Support to institute two disciplines
which are Economics and Rural Development at Post
Graduate level

However, the campus has 20 PG courses to meet the
aspirations of 1350 PG students and 27 research
scholars pursuing their PhD. Also, is supported
by 77 teaching staffs, including Assistant
Professors, Teaching Associates, Teaching
Assistants, and Resource Faculty, as well as 191

HISTORY
However, Dr B.R Ambedkar University of Srikakulam
was created by the Andhra Pradesh State
Government GO vide MS No 89 Higher Education
(UEII) Department on 25/06/2008, with the goal of
supplementing education availability in the
Srikakulam District and meeting the educational
requirements of the district's residents.
Likewise, with a policy of extending higher
education facilities to the underdeveloped
regions of the Srikakulam District, Andhra
University came forward in 1977-1978 In the month
of March 2008, Dr BR Ambedkar University
published. Consequently, the State Government
furnished 12 new coarses to this Center, of which
only four courses, including MCom, MSc
Mathematics, BL, and MLI Sc, were really begun
from a year 1988-1989, and two more coarses,
namely MBA and ML, were added in 1994. Also, the
MA Education course began in the academic year
2005-2006, and the University Ad was established
in the academic year 2006-2007.

INFRASTRUCTURE
The  University provides a great learning
experience to its students. Additionally, BRAU
has also ensured to make the student experience
better as well. Now, read below to know more
about the Infrastructure at the BRAU Library
The University library opened in 1977 with a
minimum collection of 100 volumes and an open
access system. In 1977, the campus's central
library was constructed. This was placed in such
a way that it is easily accessible to both
students and instructors. In 2009, once the
University was granted its status, the library
was divided into two branches The Library for
Arts Courses and The Library for Science
Courses.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Hostel Since Dr.B.R.Ambedkar University is a
premier institution of learning in India.
Therefore, it witnesses admissions of a large
number of students from India and abroad as well.
That is why it provides excellent hostel
facilities for male and female students across
its campuses. Moreover, it offers single and
double accommodations as well. Computer Centre
Furthermore, BRAU provides excellent resources to
its students. It further provides e-resources
with the help of an ICT network available at the
computer centres. Apart from providing internet
services, it also offers other facilities for its
students and staff as well.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Medical Facilities In the first place, it
recommended for an educational institution to
provide excellent health services to its
students. Therefore, BRAU brings its WUS Health
Center to its students that provides advanced
health services. It lies on the Main Campus of
the University and provides health facilities to
its members and beneficiaries. Furthermore, it
operates from 1030 AM to 830 PM on weekdays.
Also, the WUS centre provides Pathology lab
related services as well. Apart from the
above-mentioned facilities, BRAU also provides
facilities namely, Sports Coaching, Utility
Centre, University Science Instrumentation Centre
among others.

COURSES OFFERED
Bachelors Also, BRAU is famous for its bachelor
courses. Besides, its undergraduate courses offer
a wide array of subjects in various disciplines.
Furthermore, it provides courses like BSC,
B.Tech, B.Ed and others. These courses, however,
have a duration of three years, unlike
professional bachelors degrees for four
years. Masters Masters courses at BRAU, as a
matter of fact, also recognized for their
comprehensive level of education. Moreover, Dr BR
Ambedkar University offers masters courses in
various disciplines as well. Also, it provides MA
courses, namely, MA, MSc, M Com, MBA, MPEd, LLB
and more.
