United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
These are the Public Advisory Committees for the
USPTO formed with the goal of providing USPTO
patent help for inventors. Their creation was the
result of the Patent and Trademark Office
Efficiency Act statute in the American Inventors
Protection Act of 1999.

Management of Trademarks and Patents
These committees consist of private-sector
intellectual property (IP) executives who assist
with operations pertaining to the management of
trademarks and patents. Each committee consists
of 9 members appointed by the Secretary of
Commerce to serve 3-year rotating terms.
