Government e-Marketplace
The Government E-Marketplace which we also know
as GeM this portal is one type of online
marketplace. The government saw a rise in scams
in the administration sector, so the Government
decided to create a GeM portal to stop the scams
and make sure that products were priced
correctly, as well as to support sellers from the
smallest to the largest in order to help them
grow their business even more. After this portal
was created on 9th august 2016. 28 300 artisans
and 1,49,422 weavers registered themselves on
the Government E- Marketplace on 30th August
2021. The main thing about GeM is only the
ministry of India has the right to purchase goods
and services from this portal.

Apply for GeM registration
Visit the G eM portal you will get a form that
you have to fill out and make a successful
payment after submitting the form. Then you will
receive an OTP on your registered mobile number
or email id. Our executive will contact you for

you will be provided with a GeM seller ID and
login credentials. Your GeM certificate will be

How to sell the products on the gem portal
To sell your product you have to register
yourself on the gem portal You must have listed
the products After receiving the order you have to
deliver the product to the consignee according
to the details on the portal Once the order is
successfully delivered, the consignee will test
the product for confirmation/ satisfaction. Once
the buyer has processed the bill, the paying
authority will make a time- bound payment to the
buyer

How to buy products
Search the product in the search box which
product you want If the product is in stock then
set the item, model, location, etc whatever is
required If you want direct purchase without
(PFC) you have purchased up to 25,000 If the
total value of the item is more than 5,00,000
bidding is the only option to make the purchase
(GST will be allowed in the case of bedding )
After that, receive the product in the condition
you want buyer will generate a consignee receipt
or acceptance certificate by using GeM login
id Payment to supplier will be made
electronically as per norms After making the
payment all the details will be uploaded to the
GeM portal
