HARDWOOD FLOOR CARE IN ARIZONA
Who doesn't love beautiful Hardwood flooring in
their home because, visually, the floors are
appealing and work in almost any home style?
Properly maintaining hardwood floors will last
many years. If you just installed a hardwood
floor or moved into a home with an existing
hardwood floor, let me help you know how
to maintain the floors. Hardwood Care The need
for lots of wood floor cleaners and cleaning
solutions just isn't there. be careful of
homemade hardwood floor cleaners you want to
avoid non-recommended cleaners, which can damage
the finish or void floor warranties. If you are
not having a professional clean the floor for
you, check with the hardwood manufacturer and
guidelines to help you avoid using cleaners that
could cause damage to your floors and possibly
void the flooring warranty! Sweeping
Vacuuming The classic broom and vacuum are
excellent for hardwood floor care these tools
do a great job of picking up loose dirt and
2
debris without damaging your floor. Sweeping or
vacuuming about twice a week will help you get
the best results for maintaining a clean and
well-cared hardwood floor. Be careful when using
your vacuum some vacuum wheels and beater bars
can damage hardwood floors. Mopping regular
mopping can be beneficial for cleaning wood
floors. Make sure you use a gentle and effective
mop on the floor. something like a microfiber
mop works great. Mopping can help pick up dust
and allergens from crevices and seams that
sweeping and vacuuming leaves behind.
Sweeping and vacuuming help remove loose dirt
before moving on to mopping. Make sure you give
extra care to high- traffic areas like
entryways, hallways, and stairs to see more
debris, sweeping, vacuuming, or dust mopping
these areas of your home. avoid using a wet mop
with water or steam at any time. Hardwood can
warp when exposed to water, which means that
damages happen quickly, so be careful with any
water-based product when cleaning hardwood
floors. Hardwood Floors And Deep Cleaning The
process of cleaning floors goes from biggest to
smallest. You start cleaning the biggest dirt
and debris first and go on to smaller dirt and
polishing to finish. Here is a 4 step process to
follow for the best results. 1. Start by
vacuuming or sweeping the largest debris and dirt
first. You don't want to leave any large dirt
around for the next step, so make sure you sweep
and vacuum well. If possible, move furniture
and rugs to clean the surface of all of your
floors. Use a wand attachment for your vacuum to
remove loose dirt from the knots and crevices
for wood floors with deep character knots and rid
ges.

  • After you get all the loose dirt from the
hardwood floors, you can start applying a
cleaning solution, which is the next step. MAKE
SURE you check with the floor manufacturer to
know which floor cleaning solutions or products
they recommend for the given floors.
Non-recommended cleaning products can damage the
finish on the floors, which can be irreversible!
  • Follow the manufacturers guidelines on properly
preparing the cleaning solution, for example, if
the solution requires dilution and how much
should be used on your given floor size. I
recommend you test your cleaner solution on
floors in a closet or somewhere thats not
noticeable this helps you save your floor just
in case it causes any discoloration, bubbling, or
    warping.
  • After ensuring that the cleaning solution will be
safe for your hardwood floors, start in the back
corner with your mop and cleaning solution. Go
toward the hardwood grain, and avoid adding too
much cleaning product this will help the floor
dry quickly. go room to room, avoiding walking
over what you have already finished until dry.
  • Keeping Your Hardwood Floors Clean
  • Do you want to keep your flooring clean longer?
The easiest way is to remove your shoes in your
house. Rocks, gravel, and sand, among other
materials, stick in your shoes and can easily
    track through your home.
  • An area rug is a great way to protect hard
flooring like wood and tile. Area rugs help to
limit floor fading, worn areas, and scratches
and can be placed in all types of areas. Living
rooms, bedrooms, and hallways are common areas
that can use an area rug.

Pets? this can be challenging to limit pets and
go in and out of the house. You can try wiping
their paws when they come inside. The best way
to do this is to have a door mat inside and
outside of your door Lastly, clean up spills
and messes right when they happen. this will
prevent long-term stains. And if you are in the
Phoenix area, look into our service to help with
