I will share why this can happen and what steps
you can take to overcome the problem. So, read it
till the end to understand everything thoroughly.
But lets first focus on why your Cricut Maker
machine stopped during cut issues.

Reasons Behind Cricut Stopped Mid Cut

• Find below some of the possible reasons for which
  Cricut stops mid-cut issues that can occur with
  your device.
• There is some issue with the power button.
• A problem with the project, corrupted, or
  something else.
• Dust or debris stabbed on the roller.
• Mat, some parts of the cutting material or blade
  might get stuck.
• Cutting having incorrect calculated dimensions.
• Cutting area or space is dirty.
• Outdated firmware.
• Unplugged the USB power source while the machine
  was performing.
• A power adapter other than the one that came with
  the device is used.
• Faulty wall outlet.

Cricut maker stopped cutting in the middle of the
project. Faults in the Power Button A faulty
power button can be unresponsive and blinks
consistently red. In this situation, you can
replace the power button with a new one.

Corrupted Project When the issue is due to one
corrupted project, all you need to do is
re-create another. Dust or Debris Accumulated on
the Roller Bar First, move ahead by switching the
power off. Move the carriage across the roller
bar 3-4 times manually to clear out any
accumulated debris. Sticking of Mat, Cutting
Material, or Blade Please note that if this
happens with every machine, there are issues with
your Cricut maker machine. You can try these
steps. First, power off your machine and move
the carriage back and forth. Make sure to do it
at least six times. After this, power your device
again and try to use it for the project. Cutting

the project, be sure to clear any debris. If you
have issues in the middle of your project, check
for any dirt and remove it by following the
onscreen instructions. Once you are sure there is
no debris, press the cut button again, and you
can resume the cut then. Outdated Firmware When
you find a solid red power button with loadout
white, you need to proceed by doing a firmware
update first. To check whether a firmware update
is required, you can connect your device via
Bluetooth or USB to a computer/laptop they will
tell you if an update is available for your
machine. It should be your job to check that
there is an Internet connection. You cant
download the update correctly without an active

another outlet or power strip for a solid red
power button. Unplugged USB Power Source While

replacement of the power adapter and cord
too. Problems with The Program Detecting the
Blade Tool First, check that the tool installed
in clamp B matches the tool recommended in the
Design space on the load step. You can select
Edit tools to choose a different tool if the
recommended one is unavailable. Dirty Cutting
Tool First, ensure the tool is removed from clamp
B, and the reflective surface on the housing is
cleaned off to come out of the issue. Press the
flashing Go button once you have reinstalled the
tool in Clamp B. Dirty Tool Sensor  In such a
situation, remove the tool sensor from Clamp B to
clean it. Again place the tool back into the
Clamp B while ensuring the flashing Go light is
on.

• Foreign Power Adapter being Used On the Device
• The adapter for the Cricut maker is white if it
  is green, there is a chance foreign/divergent
  power adapter is being used on the device. Make
  sure to use the Cricut power adapter and cord
  that came with your device.
• Faulty Blade/Cutting Tool
• Use a different adaptive tool knife blade,
  rotary blade, or scoring wheel to attempt a test.
  If your test is successful, there might be an
  issue with the drive housing of the original
  tool.
• Design Space Malfunction
• To resolve the issue instantly, follow the steps
  below.
• Uninstall Design Space and then restart your
  computer/device. Reboot your Cricut Maker.
• Finally, reinstall Design Space and begin with
  your project.
• Incompatible Materials with Design or Cutting
  tool
• Try cutting different materials, such as printed
  paper, with its appropriate setting. If you dont
  get some outcome, there might be an issue with
  the input (the material youre trying to cut).
