4 Frequently Asked Questions About Finasteride
2
What is the use of Finasteride?
  • Finasteride is an FDA approved medication that is
used to treat Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
that is also called prostate enlargement and
androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss).
Finasteride falls in the group of medications
called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. Its main
function is to block the function of the enzyme
5-alpha reductase that converts testosterone into
DHT (dihydrotestosterone) that is responsible for
BPH and male pattern hair loss.

3
What happens during BPH and male pattern hair
loss?
  • During BPH the cells of the prostate gland
multiply causing it to swell and squeeze into the
urethra. This causes problems like difficulty in
    urinating, frequent urge to urinate,
discontinuous stream of urine, acute urinary
    retention, etc.
  • Male pattern hair loss happens due to the
shrinkage of hair follicles on the top of the
head due to DHT hormone. The result is hair
thinning, brittle hair, hindered growth of new
hair and baldness. Male pattern hair loss can be
easily identified due to the peculiar pattern of
receding of hairline (M shaped pattern). Hence to
avoid this it is highly advised to buy
    Finasteride online USA.

4
What are the side effects of Finasteride?
  • Finasteride has the following side effects like
pain in testicles, problem during ejaculation,
lack of sexual desire, inability to maintain or
have an ejection, etc. Sometimes adverse effects
like increase in breast size, swelling of face,
nipple discharge, skin problems are also seen
    that require immediate medical attention.

5
What are the alternatives to Finasteride?
  • If you dont want to buy generic Finasteride,
then your other options include prostate surgery
(for BPH), hair transplantation, use of wigs,
etc. (for male pattern hair loss).
