Description
I've found my new Queen of the Regency Romance
Novel - Kindle AmazonianWith 100,000 downloads,
the Regency Goddesses Series novels are regularly
in the U.S. top 20 for Historical Romance, and
Humor Satire. They can be enjoyed in any
order.APHRODITEâ a Regency Christmasâ a
masterful heroineâ a betrothed heroâ a
match-making grandmother (and retired
courtesan)1 Amazon Best Seller, Regency
Historical Romance6 Amazon Best Seller, Kindle
Store (all genres)âœI fail to see why you expect
me to put up with your acerbic charm? Others of
your acquaintance might be inclined to do so, but
I, strange creature that I am, will not!â?When
the beautiful Miss April Hartwood arrives in
London to be introduced to Regency high society,
she hopes for some fun and frivolity after a life
spent in rural obscurity in Cornwall.
Unfortunately for her, her grandmother has other
ideas...marriage. Lively and strong-willed, April
does not appreciate being compelled to catch a
husband. Yet, before long, she finds herself
courting the affections of the Duke of Claredon,
while struggling with a wholly inappropriate
attraction to the insufferable Mr Royce. In the
lead up to Christmas, in the year 1820, a
delightfully devious campaign is orchestrated to
bring together two people destined for one
another, regardless of the obstacles to be
overcome and the inconvenient tendency on the
part of the protagonists to resist their
attraction...until they are finally brought to
realise they cannot escape fate, or the meddling
of one determined grandmother!Best Regency
romance book I have read in years. - K. E.
TimbrezaAphrodite is an enthralling Regency romp
full of endearing and meddlesome characters, a
stubborn hero and heroine, and hilariously

entertaining mix-ups and tangles! - Austenesque
ReviewsTruly witty, delightful characters....The
author has mastered the art of satire with a
heart. - DragonladyAuthor's comments The novels
in the Regency Goddesses series are standalone
and can be enjoyed in any order (although one
minor character makes an appearance in all three
novels - have you discovered them?).In terms of
heat, the content is sexually charged but
perfectly clean. As I like to stay in period as
much as possible, all spelling follows British
English conventions.Author's fun factsThe idea
for Aphrodite came to me while reading
Courtesans by Katie Hickman. The women who
reached the heights of becoming courtesans during
the Regency Period led privileged lives, and from
our modern perspective, they often had it better
than wives! They owned their own assets, managed
their lives without male interference and walked
away from their protectors whenever they wished,
usually greatly enriched. I wanted to explore a
strong female character that had lived that life
and made the most of her opportunities,
unabashed. Enter Mrs Delamer, my heroineâs
grandmother a woman you wouldnât want to mess
with!My heroine is a woman of great beauty and
I was inspired to touch upon the challenges of
living with such a prominent feature by a
story Taylor Swift once told an interviewer a
supermodel friend of hers was so beautiful that
she was continually being approached by men in
the street many with the intention of
simply telling her how beautiful she was. The
friend found that level of attention confronting
and couldnât handle it. I know! Weâre all
thinking there are worse things in life.
But though the first 200 men running down the
street after you might be flattering, what about
the next 500 or 1000? Not so fun, perhaps. A girl
needs some level of anonymity when she's buying
her guilty-pleasure snacks, or popping into the
pharmacy for an embarrassing concoction.
