and grateful to be able to share this cookbook
with you. One of the biggest lessons Ive learned
while working in the field of health and wellness
the past twenty years is that food can be a
powerful tool for happiness and healing, but it
can also be a powerful weapon for degradation and
disease. Food is one of the most powerful
entities in our universeand I dont make that
statement lightly. The food that we eat literally
becomes a part of us. Through a process thats
nothing short of miraculous, food is able to be
transformed into human tissue. Every cell in your
heart, your brain, your bones, and your belly is
made from the food that you eat. Food is what
makes us who we are. I believe that once we truly
understand how much food matters, we will see
a revolution in the health and well-being of our
society. Slow Cooker Chicken Curry One of
my biggest food crushes would have to be curries.
I love the spice combinations, nutrient-dense ingr
edients, and saucy finished products. This
chicken curry is a staple at our house. As
a little nutrition and flavor bonus, I like to
add some kalamata olives on top after its
plated. They actually pair amazingly with this
dish! Serve with rice or quinoa and a vegetable
side of your choice. Superfood Chocolate Bark
Youll never have to reach for a processed
candy bar again. Keep a stash of this in the
freezer for anytime youre craving something
sweet. Its also a delectable, easy dessert or
snack to share with guests. This chocolatey bark
is customizable as wellyou can sprinkle any mix
of nuts, seeds, and superfoods you like on top!
Boss Burger When you bite into a great burger,
its like a meditation. It instantly brings you
into the present moment, the world slows down
around you, and youre transported

straight to a blissful inner journey. For this
burger patty, itself, its all about
quality ingredients. And from there you get to be
the boss on what toppings you choose.
Tortilla Soup This soup is next level! Growing
up, my only trysts with soup were canned
chicken noodle or tomato soups. I had no idea
that soups could be so fresh, so fulfilling, and
so delicious. This wonderful recipe combines a
variety of metabolism- and microbiome- supportive
