FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
Bordeaux, chief town of Aquitaine, has an
important inheritage left by the 18th century
which was the golden age for the city. In
Bordeaux, gastronomy and the art of living are
held of the pride of place the numerous
restaurants offer extremely diversified range of
top quality regional cuisine. Its vineyards cover
a wide diversity of appellations (Saint Emilion,
Graves, Sauternes, Médoc) and multiplicity of

The registration fees include attendance to all
Conference sessions, Abstracts book,, Coffee
Breaks (x6), Lunches (x3). Social events Wine
and Cheese party, Town Hall reception, all the

International Scientific Committee
The Conference will include invited plenary
lectures, parallel sessions of oral presentations
and poster sessions. A non-exhaustive list of
major topics proposed for communications is given
below  - Sampling and Analytical Strategies -
Bioaccumulation and Trophic Transfers - Biotic
and Abiotic Transformations - Pollution,
Prevention and Remediation. - Green Chemistry -
Environmental Monitoring and Modelling -
Education in Environmental Chemistry. Special
DCE awards will be attributed to young scientists
presenting oral and poster communications
The Conference will be held in Bordeaux,
organised by the Division on Chemistry and the
Environment (DCE) of the FECS under the auspices
of the Federation of European Chemical Societies
and the French Chemical Society (SFC). The aim of
this Conference is to bring together scientists
from academia, private and governmental
institutes to deal with integrated approaches in
all the aspects of environmental chemistry, with
particular interests on  Behaviour of Chemicals
in the Environment

A selection of short courses will be offered
prior to the conference on Sunday 29 august. They
will cover significant advances in environmental
chemistry new classes of compounds of interest,
analytical strategies, metrology, reference
materials state-of-art of environmental chemistry
