The yellow goldenrod spider is the only spider
in Alberta that can change color. It doesnt
bite. It is present in late spring, summer and
early fall.

The yellow goldenrod spider lives in flower
gardens, weedy areas, prairies, fields and
alpine meadows.

The yellow goldenrod spider eats butterflies.

Description
The yellow goldenrod spider is medium sized. It
is white or yellow with a red mark on its
abdomen. Its front two pairs of legs are longer
than the back two pairs.
