Nominal Credit Load (NCrL)

• of average semester credits for each department
• It is different for different departments
• Previously calculated for each department,
  according to the number of semesters and total
  credit.
• NCrL total credit / of semester
• Then round the number up to reach to a natural
  number (if decimal point number gt 5)!
• Examples
• 4 year program, 133 credits
• 133 / 8 16.625 -gt NCrL 17 credits
• 2 year program, 65 credits
• 65 / 4 16.25 -gt NCrL 16 kredi

Nominal Credit Load (NCrL)

• Calculation of the total credit
• If there are some electives with different
  credits take an average of elective credits.
• NCrL is calculated by Ögrenci Isleri Müdürlügü
  and department controls the number.
• There can be more than one number for NCrL of
  the department with different tracks
• Limited total credits ( of NCrL) ? Basarisiz
  and sinamali students.

What does it mean New Course ?

• No letter grade before ? New Course
• Letter grade W ? not new course !
• The letter grade of any elective lt C
• Student can repeat it with a new elective. ? not

The total credits of new courses can not be more
than percentages of NCrL written above.

Summer School

Grade Mistakes

• In the 2 weeks after the announcements of letter
  grades!

Transition Period (Geçis Dönemi)

• New Students after the hazirlik and/or new
  registrations to the department.
• Old Student current students in the department
• For new students the new rules start immediatelly
  
• There are some temporary rules for old students

Old Students

• There is no course limitation in the first year
  (1 year)
• No dismiss for 2 years!
• (Dismiss starts in 2008-2009 Fall semester)

Old Students

• Their responsibilities according to their
  standing (prop, satis, repeat) at the end of
  2005-2006 Spring semester, are still same!
  Repeat repeats!
• Prop we will forgive them!
• There is no any new course limitation in
  2006-2007 Fall and Spring semester, whatever the
  standing of the student.
• The limitations are starting in 2007-2008 fall
  semester!
