• Implemented PeopleSoft Accounts Payable - 1998
• Implemented PeopleSoft Asset Management - 1998
• Implemented PeopleSoft Human Resources - 1999

WHY ARE WE IMPLEMENTING A NEW GENERAL LEDGER
SYSTEM?

• Our current system is over 12 years old
• Technology has advanced a great deal during this
  time
• Maintenance will no longer be supported by the
  vendor
• We already have several PeopleSoft modules

EXPECTED BENEFITS OF A NEW GENERAL LEDGER

• Enhanced Integration with our major subsystems
• Sever based technology over mainframe
• Potential for Electronic Reporting
• We already have several PeopleSoft modules
• Fully supported current technology
• University and UIHC on a single general ledger

TIMELINE AND STRATEGIES

• Go live of July 1, 2005
• No change to current MFK structure
• Retain web based CV applications (Web CV and Pay
  CV)
• Retain current data warehouse (GLDSS)
• Make as few business process changes as possible

CURRENT STATUS AND PROGRESS REPORT

• We are working in a small group to move rapidly
• We have attended several workshops with
  PeopleSoft Consultants
• We have access to a demo instance of Peoplesoft
• Our fully configured system will be installed by
  March 31 to perform parallel testing
• GO LIVE JULY 1, 2005
