Benefits

• The ENERGY STAR qualified fixtures can reduce
  their electricity consumption and costs by about
  66 percent compared to a standard fixture
• Saving with SSL technology will be even greater
• The purchase cost of ENERGY STAR qualified light
  fixtures varies. Some fixtures are available at
  equal pricing to non-qualified fixtures, while
  others may cost about 10 more.
• However, fixtures come with a second price tag
  the cost of energy to operate them.
• Distribute light more efficiently and evenly than
  standard fixtures.

New Version 4.1 vs. 4.0

• No changes in performance requirements
• Added requirements specific to GU-24 based
  integrated fluorescent lamps
• Fixtures using LED light engines can now qualify
  as ENERGY STAR

GU-24 Based Integrated Fluorescent Lamps

• Efficiency levels required
• gt50 LPW for lamps below 30 watts
• gt60 LPW for lamps over or equal to 30 watts
• gt40 LPW for covered, reflector and dimmable
  lamps
• Additional 1000 hour lumen maintenance of 90 or
  more
• GU-24 functional for 2880 cycles at 60 C or 720
  at 80C
• Labelling requirements for GU-24 replacement lamps

  eligible

  light engines and 40 LPW for covered LED light
