WHEN LATVIA WAS DISCOVERED

• During World War I, Latvia was partly occupied by
  Germany. The Latvians volunteers formed the
  Latvian Riflemen to stop the Germans from
  overcoming anymore of the Latvians land.
• The Latvians got there independents on November
  eighteenth nineteen ninety-eight.
• In 1920 Latvia set up there own government.

  the 1200s.
• Latvias total population is 2,290,237 it is
  ranked one hundred and forty-first in the world.

• Latvia is a parliamentary democracy. The people
  elect someone to a four year term. You must be at
  least eighteen years of age to vote.
• The Saima elects the president.
• The president selects a Prime Citizens Minster
  who is head of the government.

• There language is Indo-European. It is related to
  Lithuanian.
• They use the Latin alphabet.
• Latvian is now the official language but not all
  people use it.
