was born in St. Paul, Minnesota 1903 The
Fitzgerald Family move to Buffalo, New York 1908
The family move back to St. Paul, Minnesota
31909 F. Scott published The Mystery of the
Raymond Mortgage in St. Paul Academys Now and
Then. 1911 He enters the Newman School in
Hakensack, NJ 1912 The Girl from Lazy J was his
first published play 1913 He became a freshman at
Princeton University and stays until 1915 when
he drops out for a year 1917 Fitzgerald received
a commission as an infantry second lieutenant
and reports to Camp Taylor, Ky. 1918 He meets
Zelda Sayre in Montgomery, Alabama when he was
stationed at Camp Sheridan
4- He was discharged from the army in February with
plans of marrying Zelda, but she breaks the
engagement - He published his first novel,This Side of
Paradis first volume of short stories Flappers
and Philosophers, The Debutante, Porcelain and
Pink, Benediction, and Daryrimple - 1920 April 3, F Scott and Zelda get married
- 1921 October 26, Zelda gives birth to a daughter,
Scottie Fitzgerald - 1922 His second short story collection was
published, The Beautiful and The Damned, and
Tales of the Jazz Age
51922 Published a Diamond as Big as the Ritz and
Winter Dreams 1923 Published The
Vegetable 1924 The Fitzgeralds moved to the
Riviera where they meet Gerald and Sarah
Murphy Published Absolution and The Sensible
Thing 1925 They move to Paris and meet Ernest
Hemmingway The Great Gatsby published
61926 His third volume of short stories, All the
Sad Young Men, and The Rich Boy 1927 They
moved to Hollywood and Zelda began
ballet 1928 The first of the Basil Duke Lee
stories, The Scandal Detectives
published 1929 The Last of the Belles
published 1930 Zelda had her first breakdown and
was institutionalized outside of Paris F Scott
moves to Switzerland 1931 Edward Fitzgerald and
Judge Sayer die Zelda is released from the
institution and goes to the United States
71931 Fitzgerald published Babylon
Revisited 1932 Zeldas second breakdown
occurs She published Save Me the Waltz when she
is released from the mental hospital 1933 She
suffered her third breakdown F Scott published
Tender is the Night 1934 Mollie Fitzgerald
died 1937 F Scott moved to Hollywood again and
took a job with MGM until 1939 1940 The first
of a seventeen-story series was published, Pat
Hobbys Christmas Wish
81940 On December 21, F Scott Fitzgerald died of a
heart attack in Hollywood 1941 After his death,
The Last Tycoon was published 1945 The Crack Up
was published 1947 Zelda lived as an invalid and
was burned to death in a sanitarium fire
