- ISTRAC IS RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE TTC SUPPORT
FOR ISROS REMOTE SENSING SATELLITES
AND LAUNCH VEHICLE MISSIONS. - NUMBER OF TTC
GROUND STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE GLOBE ARE
REQUIRED FOR SUCH SUPPORT. - SKYLINK IS THE
SATELLITE BASED COMMUNICATION NETWORK WHICH
CONNECT ALL TTC STATIONS TO BOTH SCC AND
VCC. - FOR SATELLITE MISSIONS SKYLINK IS USED
FOR REAL TIME TELEMETRY / TRACKING DATA
RECEPTION AT SCC OR COMMAND TRANSMISSION
FROM SCC THROUGH VARIOUS TTC STATIONS.
3- FOR LAUNCH VEHICLE MISSION THE SKYLINK IS
USED FOR TELEMETRY DATA RECEPTION AT VCC
SHOWING THE PERFORMANCE OF VARIOUS STAGES
INCLUDING SATELLITE INJECTION. - THESE LINKS
ARE ALSO USED FOR ROUND THE CLOCK VOICE/FAX
COMMUNICATION AMONG ALL TTC STATIONS, VCC AND
SCC. - SKYLINKS ARE WORKING WITH IBS OPEN
NETWORK CONFIGURATION. - LINKS WITH TTC
STATIONS LOCATED WITHIN INDIA ARE
ESTABLISHED USING INSAT WITH ITS
REGIONAL BEAM.
4- LINK WITH TTC STATIONS LOCATED OUTSIDE INDIA
ARE ESTABLISHED BY USING INTELSAT WITH ITS
HEMISPHERICAL BEAM. - INSAT LINKS USE THE HIGHER
EXTENDED C-BAND FREQUENCIES (6.725-7.025 GHZ /
4.5-4.8 GHZ) - INTELSAT LINKS USE NORMAL C-BAND
FREQUENCIES (5.9 - 6.4 GHZ / 3.7 - 4.2 GHZ)
- THE IBS DIGITAL CARRIERS OF SKYLINK USE
QPSK MODULATION WITH FREQUENCY DIVISION
MULTIPLE ACCESS TECHNIQUE. - FOR INSAT
SKYLINKS, F TYPE OF TERMINALS ARE USED AT
DIFFERENT TTC STATIONS.
5- FOR INTELSAT SKYLINKS ONE F-2 TYPE OF
TERMINAL IS USED AT SCC, BANGALORE WHERE AS A
TYPE OF TERMINALS ARE USED IN OTHER
COUNTRIES. - THE LINKS ARE WORKING AT
DIFFERENT DATA RATES 64/128/192/256/384
KBPS. - COMPRESSED DIGITAL VOICE SIGNAL AT
VARYING DATA RATE LIKE 4.8, 8, 9.6 AND 16
KBPS ARE USED. - TELEMETRY, TRACKING AND
COMMAND DATA FOR ANY SATELLITE ARE
MULTIPLEXED AND TRANSMIT- TED TRHOUGH A
SINGLE CHANNEL OF 38.4 OR 64 KBPS DATA RATE.
