is a high pressure, clean agent providing high
performance where a total flooding of occupied
spaces is required contains no chlorine or
bromine, its ozone depletion is zero. FE13 is an
existing product currently being used as a
chemical intermediate and refrigerant. FE13
extinguishes fires by both chemical and physical
means. Primarily it raises the total heat
capacity to the point that the atmosphere will
not support combustion. In practice,
extinguishment occurs at concentrations less than
the theoretical heat capacity value. This infers
that free radical activity is inhibited.
