Title: The Two Greatest Commandments Mark 12:2831
1The Two Greatest CommandmentsMark 1228-31
The first of all the commandments is Hear, O
Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one. And
you shall love the LORD your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, with all your mind,
and with all your strength. This is the first
commandment.
And the second, like it, is this 'You shall love
your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other
commandment greater than these."
2What Does It Mean ToLove The LORD Your God?
John 1415 - "If you love me you will keep my
commandments." 1 John 53 - "For this is the
love of God, that we keep his commandments".
31 John 23-6Now by this we know that we know
Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I
know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is
a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever
keeps His word, truly the love of God is
perfected in him. By this we know that we are in
Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself
also to walk just as He walked.
- We dont know Jesus unless we keep his
commandments. - The love of God is perfected in us when we keep
Jesus' word. - We are truly in Jesus only when we walk like He
walked.
Conclusion We learn how to love God by looking
at how Jesus lived His life before God.
