Title: How we got where we are

How we got where we are
2
  • 18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of
men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19
because what may be known of God is manifest in
them, for God has shown it to them. 20For since
the creation of the world His invisible attributes
are clearly seen, being understood by the things
that are made, even His eternal power and
Godhead, so that they are without
excuse, 21because, although they knew God, they
did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful,
but became futile in their thoughts, and their
foolish hearts were darkened. 22Professing to be
wise, they became fools, 23and changed the glory
of the incorruptible God into an image made like
corruptible manand birds and four-footed animals
    and creeping things.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the
earth. Genesis 11 In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All
things were made through Him, and without Him
nothing was made that was made. John 11 - 3
That which was from the beginning, which we have
heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we
have looked upon, and our hands have handled,
concerning the Word of life 2the life was
manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness,
and declare to you that eternal life which was
with the Father and was manifested to us1 John

  • And this is the condemnation, that the light has

  • 24Therefore God also gave them up to
uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to
dishonor their bodies among themselves,  25who
exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and
worshiped and served the creature rather than the
Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26For this
reason God gave them up to vile passions. For
even their women exchanged the natural use for
what is against nature.  27Likewise also the men,
leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in
their lust for one another, men with men
committing what is shameful, and receiving in
themselves the penalty of their error which was
    due. Romans 124 - 27

26
  • 28And even as they did not like to retain God
in their knowledge, God gave them over to a
debased mind, to do those things which are not
    fitting  29being filled with all
    unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness,
    covetousness, maliciousness full of envy,
murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness they are

violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil
    things, disobedient to parents,  31undiscerning,
    untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,
    unmerciful  32who, knowing the righteous
judgment of God, that those who practice such
things are deserving of death, not only do the
same but also approve of those who practice them.
    Romans 128 - 32

but after this the judgment,  28 so Christ was
offered once to bear the sins of many. To those
who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second
time, apart from sin, for salvation.

new creation old things have passed away
behold, all things have become new.  2
    Corinthians 517

Solutions
  • 8Finally, all of you be of one mind, having
compassion for one another love as brothers, be
tenderhearted, be courteous  9not returning evil
for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the
contrary blessing, knowing that you were called
to this, that you may inherit a blessing.  10For
He who would love life     And see good
days,     Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit. 11    Let
him turn away from evil and do good     Let him
seek peace and pursue it. 12    For the eyes of
the Lord are on the righteous,     And His
ears are open to their prayers     But the face
of the Lord is against those who do evil.
  • 1 Peter 38 - 12

Solutions
  • 4Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will
say, rejoice! 5Let your gentleness be known to
all men. The Lord is at hand. 6Be anxious for
nothing, but in everything by prayer and
    supplication, with thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to God  7and the peace of
God, which surpasses all understanding, will
guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8Finally, brethren, whatever things are true,
whatever things are noble, whatever things are
just, whatever things are pure, whatever
things are lovely, whatever things are of good
report, if there is any virtue and if there is
    anything praiseworthymeditate on these things.
9The things which you learned and received and
heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of
peace will be with you. Philippians 44 - 9
