What is the purpose of this training?
  • The South Carolina Deferred Compensation Program
    (SCDCP), is enhancing the process of providing
    updates to your participants contribution
    elections to the SCDCP 401(k) PSP and the SCDCP
    457 DCP.
  • The reports that are mailed hard copy to you
    today will be put out to the ING Sponsor Connect
    Data Transfer site for you to pull down to your
    computer.
  • An e-mail notification will be sent to you when a
    deferral change report is ready for you to
    download.
  • This training will detail the process of how to
    retrieve the electronic deferral feedback report
    from the ING Sponsor Connect website .

ING Sponsor Connect Web Site
  • The ING Sponsor Connect web site is a secure web
    site that employers will use to access the
    applications that they will need to submit
    payroll data to ING, as well as to deliver and
    receive other files and reports.
  • Access is permitted only through the use of a
    secure ID and password.
  • Data Transfer The Data Transfer tool within
    Sponsor Connect is a web based application that
    is used to deliver files to ING or to download
    files/reports from ING (ieDeferral Rate Feedback
    Report).
  • If you already have a user ID and password to
    access the Sponsor Connect web site to submit
    payroll files. You will receive a new and
    expanded ID that allow you to submit payroll file
    and retrieve feedback report.
  • All new users will receive a new ID and password
    to retrieve feedback report only.

ING Sponsor Connect Site
Deferrals
  • Deferral Rate Changes
  • Deferral rates () will be elected at enrollment
    by the employee on the enrollment form.
  • All future changes or cancellations of deferral
    rates are currently processed directly through
    ING (via participant web site, automated phone
    system, or the ING Call Center).
  • Employers should not accept any deferral rate
    elections or changes directly from employees.

Data Transfer
  • The Data Transfer tool within Sponsor Connect
    will be used by employers to download the
    Deferral Rate Feedback Report to be used to
    update the employers payroll system.
  • The Deferral Rate Feedback Report is the means by
    which ING will communicate to employers all new
    deferral rate elections, changes, or
    cancellations to existing deferral rates that
    participants have initiated on the ING platforms.
  • ING will upload the Deferral Rate Feedback Report
    to Sponsor Connect base on the current schedule.
    Each report will reflect only the changes for
    each employers own participants.
  • Employers will sign onto the Sponsor Connect site
    using a secure ID and password and access the
    Data Transfer tool to download the Deferral Rate
    Feedback Report.
  • Once downloaded, the report should be used to
    update the employers payroll system with all
    deferral rate elections, changes, and
    cancellations as soon as administratively
    possible to be effective with the next possible
    payroll period.
  • Employees will make all deferral rate updates
    directly through the ING systems.
  • It is important that employers do not accept
    deferral rate elections at enrollment or changes
    to existing deferral rates as ING is the system
    of record for deferrals.
