• The Bureau of Product Standards is responsible
  for testing electrical products based on
  Philippine National Standards for purposes of
  product certification.
• Voluntary
• All approved Philippine National Standards are
  considered voluntary unless otherwise declared
  mandatory.

• PS/ICC marking on products covered is compulsory
  prior to selling.
• Products which will affect life, safety and
  health of the people and its environment
• Approval by the Secretary of Trade and Industry

• How long has testing been required?
• - Testing depends on the parameters required by
  specific standard. Normally, test period
  including release of test reports takes three (3)
  weeks (except on products that require
  performance test or life test).

• - There is no production line testing, only
  independent and in-plant laboratory testing
