  • Program the Hosaki function as a separate Matlab
    function (.m file) .
  • Modify your Matlab controller to call the Hosaki
    function instead of the Hymod model.
  • Generate 1,000 uniform random sets of X1 and X2
    from feasible space 0,5.
  • Evaluate f(X1 ,X2) for each set of X1 and X2
  • Make contour and dotty plots of X1 ,X2 and f(X1
    , X2).
  • Visually interpret plots and find optimal values
    of X1 and X2.
  • Perform several different URSs with different
    combinations of parameters and objective
    functions (RMSE, APBIAS, and RSQUARED, E, lnE,
    E1).
  • Make contour and response surface plots of
    different parameter and objective combinations -
    try to find good examples of local and global
    minimums, interacting parameters, and sensitive
    and insensitive relationships. How do these
    (contour surface) plots compare with the dotty
    plots - which plots are more valuable? Why?
  • Prepare short PowerPoint presentation of results.
