Title: Simulate to Stimulate
1 Electronics Workbench An
electronics design and simulation software
package This commercial software is used as a
formative tool, to provide underpinning for a
wide range of Stage 1 Stage 2 modules in a
student-centred learning environment-
- provides a means of understanding circuit
principles and operations by interactive use of
the available measurement tools (similar to real
laboratory instruments) - supports tutorial problem-solving, by
allowing trial and error approaches to complement
theoretical solution methods - helps development of troubleshooting skills
and techniques - provides a springboard for circuit design,
thus facilitating future individual project work - The take-up and ownership is very high-
- due to the School making available 100
copies of the package for students to use at home - self-study lab sheets being available on the
web
or, how to establish solutions to tutorial
problems
or, how to aid understanding of electrical
circuits
or, how to confirm practical results - at home
