History of Project Pals

• Pals (Partners in Active Learning Support)
• Started in 1993 in Warrenton, Virginia at
  Fauquier High School

What is Project Pals

• Interaction between High School students and
  Elementary students
• Educating Elementary students about agriculture.

• The High School student will act as a buddy and a
  friend with the Elementary student, and help them
  learn about Agriculture.

Teamwork

• Project Pals teaches teamwork and cooperative
  skills to the children when they are a young age.
• It also teaches children to have a good time.

Good Feelings

• Project Pals gives not only the Elementary
  student a positive self esteem, but it gives the
  FFA member a good feeling for making a positive
  difference in someone.

• Knife
• Large Spoon
• Pencil

Pumpkin Carving

• Purpose is to teach about agriculture, and have a
  fun time bonding with your partner
• Have a contest with the funniest, and scariest
  pumpkin
• Relate game back to agriculture

• The rewards from helping out with project pals is
  knowing that you are a role model for another
  student.
• And helped keep Agriculture strong.
