William Shakespeare Life
  • William Shakespeare was born in Stratford
and he was middle class. He dedicated the two
poems to Henry Wriothesley 3rd earl of
Southampton. He was for the life of the
greatest writer in the English language. William
Shakespeare wrote his most important history
plays in the period from 1596 to 1598, plays that
revel both his dramatic mastery and his deep
    understanding of politics and history.

William Shakespeare's childhood
  • William Shakespeares birth is unknown but
his baptism was on April 26, 1564. William
Shakespeare the third of eight children, was the
eldest son of John Shakespeare, his father was a
locally prominent glove maker and wool merchant.
The eldest son would have ordinarily have been
apprenticed to his fathers shop after he
completed grammar school so he could learn and
eventually take over the business. William
    Shakespeare probably attended the Stratford
grammar school, the kings new school, which
educated the sons of Stratford citizen.

Family
  • William Shakespeare got married at the age of
18 with Anne Hathaway he had a daughter named
Susanna and twins Hamlet and Judith. Sometime
after the birth of the twins Shakespeare
apparently left Stratford, but no records have
turned up to reveal his activity between their
birth and his presence in London in 1592 when he
already worked at the theater. William
Shakespeare arrived in London about 1588, and by
1592 he had attained sufficient success as an
actor and a playwright to attract the venom of an
    anxious rival.
