Objective of the BRC Standards

    be in place within a manufacturers organisation
    to supply product to retailers and other Standard

  • HACCP Analysis of safety hazards of individual
    foods
  • Quality Management system Organisational and
    Senior Management Commitment
  • Good Manufacturing and Hygiene Principles

Certification Process
  • Audit of site conducted by an independent body
    The Certification Body
  • Duration 11/2 days time for report writing
  • Sites are graded A, B or C depending on
    performance
  • Corrective Action in 28 days to resolve issues
  • Audits take place annually (generally)
