To regulate the home building industry a. Optimal compliance with the requirements of the Act
To provide protection to housing consumers in respect of the failure of home builders to comply with their obligations in terms of this Act. a. a. Sustain growth of a warranty reserve to cover major structural defects and twelve-month roof leaks b. Reduced number of non-compliance and defaulting home builders

To establish and promote ethical and technical standards in the home building industry (Quality Homes) a. Sustain and enhance business and professional ethical standards
      To improve structural quality in the interests of housing consumers and the home building industry. (Quality Homes) a. a. Optimal compliance to management and technical standards.

To represent the interest of housing consumers by providing warranty protection against defined defects in new homes (Quality Homes) a. Sustained growth of the warranty reserve to cover major structural defects and roof leaks
To promote housing consumer rights and to provide housing consumer information (Housing Consumer Satisfation) a. a. Provide updated information and training to the housing consumers

7.       To communicate with and assist home builders to register in terms of this Act. (Letsema Mobilisation) a. Maintain an effective communication strategy to educate and inform home builders
   To assist home builders, through training and inspection, to achieve and maintain satisfactory technical standards of home building.   (Capacity Building) a. a. Competent home builders in the industry

To regulate insurers as contemplated in section 23(9)(a) of the Act a. . Maintain favourable actuarial and risk assessment
No recourse to the Minister for additional funds necessary at any time in terms of section 17(3)-(5) of the Act.   Sustain the Warranty Reserve a. a. Sustain the Warranty Reserve  
Manage the housing subsidy sector to demonstrate prudent risk control within the sector. (Quality Homes) a. Quality homes in the housing subsidy sector
