The Idea behind Using a V-Notch Weir

• A V-Notched weir has the potential to create
  scour holes downstream
• The weir can be placed before or after bridges to
  prevent gravel bars from forming
• Whats wrong with a gravel bar?
• Gravel bars split the stream and can scour the
  streambank and bridge footings
• Plants can get established and cement the gravel
  in place

• To boring and tedious to discuss
• Mostly a new way for government to permit for
  stream channels
• I experimented with modeling thermal energy using
  Heat Source
