Types of Interviews
  • phone / video
  • single face to face
  • panel ? 2, 3, or sometimes more
  • assessment centers ? behavioural based
  • often includes a combination of these approaches

Overcoming Nerves
  • good night sleep
  • arrive early
  • check location ? trains, traffic, trams,
    building etc
  • dummy interviews
  • stop and listen
  • breathe !!

After the interview
  • follow up ? a written thank you note
  • review your performance
  • what did you do well
  • what could you improve on
  • was there any feedback
  • is this the type of company I want to work for

General tips
  • failure to prepare is preparing to fail
  • its ok to ask for the question to be repeated or
    to ask for more time tom answer
  • dont overstate your achievements
  • communicate confidently
  • be honest
  • remember the interviewer has something to offer
    and so do you
