• Can be controlled by any presenter
• Can customise pods
• Wont show embedded movies

• Run any application remotely
• Run PPT show with embedded movie
• Trouble shoot remote computer

WebCT Vista - improvements

• We will be able to create areas for Academic
  Groups, Subjects, Programmes, CPD, etc and are
  NOT bound by the module structures that Campus
  Edition is.

This will allow content to be provided ACROSS
modules, Subjects, Programmes, etc. eg Ethics
forms, Programme handbooks only loaded once.

Vista - being piloted in some PSY modules in
semester 2, and rolled out to whole University in
phased manner. We are in 3rd phase Mar 2007

(HSSC) and LLE (HEFCE funded programs)

Traditional video conferencing

• Audio Visual Services offer a small
  group-to-group video conferencing service on four
  campuses CH, EN, TP, HE.
• Audio Visual staff are trained in the use and
  techniques of video conferencing.

ISDN - Usually better quality video and audio
