Warm-up....
A computer salesman, a hardware engineer, and a
software engineer are driving in a car together.
Suddenly the right rear tire blows out, and the
car rolls to a stop. Our three heroes pile out to
investigate The salesman announces sadly, "Time
to buy a new car!" Says the hardware engineer,
"Well, first let's try swapping the front and
rear tires, and see if that fixes it." Replies
the software engineer, "Now, let's just try
driving the car again, and maybe the problem will
go away by itself." )))))?

What is ITC ?

• The Information Technology Committee is a body
  of BEST that
• Listens to IT needs
• Develops concepts of IT applications
• Implements the systems
• Provides technical resources and services
• Supports the whole organisation in achieving its
  goals and visions, through development of IT
  infrastructure

• 86 members (22 full members 64 trainees)?
• 3 groups (designers, developers, admins)?
• 32 mailing lists (and other project lists)?
• 4 systems (PA, BAS, BCC, Unified system)?
• 10 other big projects (and 50 small)?
• 5 application servers, 6 mail servers
• 6 years of using Makumba (and counting)?

• Do you spend endless hours in front of your
  terminal, exploring the mysterious man?
