• If your site is not registered, nobody can find
  you.
• Most search engines allow you to manually enter
  your information
• This can take from 1 to several minutes
• It is for this reason many people like to have
  their web site registered for them
• Many companies will do it for you, saving hours

• Currently, there are 15-20 major search engines
• After the major search engines come the mid range
  search engines
• These search engines are not as big and do not
  receive as many hits but hey do get quite a bit
  of traffic
• These midrange search engines and of course, the
  major search engines total about 250
• This is where you will get your traffic from

How do these registrations work?

• What a web site registration service does is
  collect information from you about your site
• They will then submit your site through special
  software to many search engines in a short period
  of time.
• Fees for this service varies greatly
• Some companies charge 10 and some charge up to
  500
• Just keep in mind, that in most cases the service
  is the exact same!

How long will it take?

• Most companies will process your order within 1-2
  days (this is only the beginning)
• Then after it is submitted, it is up to that
  individual engine to add your site to their
  database
• The time it takes to get listed on a search
  engine varies monthly depending on several
  factors.
• The only way to be sure to get your site
  registered ASAP is to SUBMIT IT!
