Post-deployment support planning

• Ensuring that Mifos implementation continues to
  be successful post-deployment
• Ensuring that the MFI has adequate support for
  Mifos post-deployment
• Ensuring that the MFI has understanding of
  resource needs to support Mifos on an on-going
  basis

Developing a post-deployment plan
Group Activity

• 3 teams (4-5 people each)
• Brainstorm all of the areas that go into
  post-deployment planning
• Come up with a plan for post-deployment support
  to present to your MFI
• For areas where you have enough information, make
  concrete recommendations
• For areas where you do not have enough
  information, indicate considerations to think
  about
• Plan should be in framework of MFI profile
  provided
• Each team will present their plan to the whole
  group

• 5 branches, all rural. 2 are very far from head
  office
• Broadband connection in 3 branches. GPRS
  connecton in 2 branches
• Server hosted in-house in MFI Head-office
• No IT staff but can hire or outsource as
  necessary
• Branch/field staff consists of data-entry
  personnel, loan officers, branch managers, and
  training staff
