• Main objectives to design and implement an
  integrated browsing tool allowing all browsing
  scenarios in a home-based context where
  navigation time must be reduced and graphical
  interfaces must be simple

• A well-documented framework MCM. Added
  information after requests from other partners
• The MusicBrowser is now a fully extensible system
  in which all database functionalities are
  implemented in MCM
• New functionalities can be easily added as
  plug-ins (Java packages DLLs)
• Several innovative functions query language,
  timbre similarity, user-defined descriptors
• New panels and operations were developed
  database schemas, metadata management, automatic
  computation, playlists, better ID3 tag
  identification, etc.

• WP2 descriptors (Ircam AS)
• WP7 sharing (Ircam SEL, FhG)
• FhG Query by Humming as an extension panel in the
  MusicBrowser (work by Christian Sailer from FhG

• EDSv2 automatic generalization of personal
  categories

• Sony EuTEC used MCM and adapted the browsing
  features to the HiFi system
• Sony CSL ported the MusicBrowser to Linux for
  better integration by Sony EuTEC
• Ircam SEL used MCM to make the HiFi system
  communicate with the sharing system
• Sony CSL gave support on MCM and the MusicBrowser
  source code, and made the necessary changes when
  needed

• Continuing support on MCM and the MusicBrowser
• Adding missing features
• Assisting in demonstrations and user tests
