Objectives and target groups

• Objective
• To support the implementation of the EPBD for
  existing non residential building stock in a
  practical, efficient and cost-effective way by
  providing
• Survey of national context
• EPA-NR assessment method (including calculation
  software, inspection protocol, checklists)
• Pilot projects
• Application strategies for EPA-NR in practice
• Knowledge exchange through national feedback
  committees, seminars, observer countries
• Target groups
• Policy makers and energy consultants / researchers

Work Packages

• WP 1 - Survey National context and need for
  instruments
• On policies, technical context, relevant energy
  saving approaches, experience with existing
  tools, market and actors w.r.t. energy
  performance assessment
• WP 2 - Definition of requirements and layout of
  the EPA-NR method and tools
• A brief describing the method and tools and a
  formula structure describing the software
• WP 3 - EPA-NR method and tools
• Description of the overall method, intake
  checklist, inspection protocol, software to
  assess the energy peformance, perform bechmarking
  and define cost effective energy saving measures
• WP 4 - Pilot projects
• 3 Pilots per country to evaluate the EPA-NR
  method and tools and to serve as demonstration
• WP 5 - Application strategies for EPA-NR in
  practice
• Application of the EPA-NR method into the
  practical context during the life cycle of the
  building
• WP 6 - Dissemination
• Communication structures exchange with other
  projects, national feedback committees, observer
  countries, national workshops and seminars
