Purpose of the website
  • To allow student health professionals to
    familiarise themselves with Queensland Health
    prior to clinical placement or fieldwork
  • To standardise the orientation provided to
    students placed across the state
  • To minimise time spent by clinicians orientating
    students

It is a requirement of Queensland Health that all
students who have a clinical or fieldwork

Essential Placement Requirements
  • The section of the website that must be covered
    prior to placement
  • To demonstrate this, the Student Orientation
    Checklist must be printed off the website,
    signed and presented to the university or TAFE
    fieldwork/student placement co-ordinator
  • Topics each should take about 15 minutes to
    review

    year at Queensland Health

  • Another checklist does not need to be completed
    or collected unless it has been updated since you
    completed your original checklist
