EH and P2 Reporting Theory

• Why Does EH Collect Data for Reports?
• 1. Requirements (i.e., EO 13148, EO 13101)
• 2. Inform policy and program development
• Identify trends/opportunities/successes
• Share lessons learned
• To do 2, the data must be meaningful
• At the site
• Within the context of EMS and budget processes
• When rolled up for Program Office or Agency

• Data collected in three separate data systems
• Awards, EPP, Waste Gen/Accomplishments
• Each uses different technology, structure
• Data systems developed to address HQ reporting
  requirements
• May not meet site or PSO needs
• Data not well suited to analysis
• Inconsistent
• Not accurate indicator of performance

• Simplify the data input process
• Facilitate data analysis
• Collect the right measures
• Improve data integrity, consistency
• Develop appropriate reports and views
• Reflect changing operational environment
• EMS Implementation as key driver
• Incorporate new P2 Goals for 2006

Process and Timeline

• Initial requirements analysis underway
• Questionnaire results will inform this effort
• Provide accurate cost and timeline
• System development to begin over summer
• Includes expanded requirements analysis
• Additional user input will be gathered during
  this process
• New system available for 2006 data call
