The No-Tardy PartyIntervention
  • We throw a No-Tardy Party each term
  • Our no-tardy parties are celebrations of
promptness, thrown for all students who have not
been tardy in any class for the entire term. We
gather them together for a treat the last 15
    minutes of the day.

Rationale
Moving from Class to Class Is Safe and Orderly
(Student Survey)
  • Results of formal and informal surveys indicated
a desire for, and a great deal of support for the
development and implementation of a school-wide
effort to reduce the number of students TARDY to
    class.

Data Indicators
2005 2006
  • Our team used monthly tardiness reports generated
by the AS400 database. Input to the database is
made daily by each teacher for each period
    taught.

General Discussion
  • The overall decrease in tardiness this year can
be partially attributed to the no tardy party
    intervention.
  • Frequent Flyer tardies continued to be a
    problem.
