Meet / Swimmer Classifications
  • Age group swim meets are classified as A, BB,
    B/C.

to attend those meets and swim any events.
  • Swimmers cannot swim events where they are faster
    than the meet classification.
  • Swimmers age 13 and over are at least BB
    swimmers.
  • New swimmers 12 and under start as C swimmers.
  • Ask your coach if you are not sure what your
    classification is.

11
Meet Participation
  • B/C swimmers are encouraged to attend meets. A
form will be sent home several times a year for
parents to indicate the meets their swimmer will
    attend.
  • A and BB swimmers are expected to attend meets.
FAST will enter these swimmers unless written
notification is received that they will NOT
    attend.
  • FAST will not refund entry fees after they are
paid to the host team, usually 2 weeks before the
    meet starts.
  • Email to the team is the best way to communicate
