Why Hosted Edition?

• For service providers. Keep Switchvox in their
  data center. It doesn't make sense to dedicate
  a server to each customer.
• For office suites. Manage each small business
  customer separately, from anywhere, in their own
  "sandbox."
• Migrate seamlessly from hosted to premise
  solution and back again.
• Same tried and true Switchvox, container new.

Hardware Requirements

• Server supplied by you, the customer
• For up to 200 concurrent calls per server you
  will need
• Processor - Minimum of 4 cores, Intel Xeon 3000
  or better
• Disk - Minimum 320 GB
• Memory - Minimum 8 GB

Network Requirements

• Each copy of Switchvox will need an IP address,
  plus 1 for the host system
• This box is VoIP-only! To bridge to the PSTN, use
  one of these options
• Account with a VoIP provider
• SIP Gateway, connected to commercial T1/E1, etc.
• Asterisk server acting as a SIP/IAX gateway device

Other Considerations

• If you intend to bill your customers for minutes
  used on a per-account basis, you will need to
  have a billing solution in place outside of the
  Switchvox system. The best place for this to
  occur is at your PSTN gateway.
• Once the server is set up with Fedora Core 6 and
  then using Switchvoxs special kickstart file,
  Switchvox engineering deploys the copies of
  Switchvox onto the server.
• The 200 concurrent calls the server handles is
  respective of the entire server.
• If one business is using 100 concurrent calls,
  another is using 90, the rest of your 18 business
  customers on that machine can be making 10 calls
  before quality starts to suffer.
