HIMSELF by A. B. Simpson Once it was the
blessing, Now it is the Lord Once it was the
feeling, Now it is His Word. Once His gifts I
wanted, Now the Giver own Once I sought for
healing, Now Himself alone.
A life of half salvation is a life lived
without the passion and the fullness of the
abundance of Christ.
Once 'twas painful trying, Now 'tis perfect
trust Once a half salvation, Now the
uttermost. Once 'twas ceaseless holding, Now He
holds me fast Once 'twas constant drifting, Now
my anchor's cast.

Full Salvation
and the call of Jesus is not the call simply to
be free from the penalty of sin but to live a
life that is free from the power of sin.

(John 151-2) while every branch that does bear
fruit He prunes so that it will be even more
fruitful.

Abiding in Christ
A Full Salvation draws from the fullness of
Christ through an everyday focus on the life that
He calls us to live
Notice two Pictures 1. The Father is the
Gardener His intention is to keep the branches
in a healthy relationship with the Vine.
2. Jesus is the Vine It is the purpose of the
Vine to infuse the branches with life and to
cause grow to occur.
3Abiding in Christ
- (John 153-5) You are already clean because of
the Word I have spoken to you
(John 153-5) Abide abide in Me, and I will
abide in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself
it must abide in the Vine. Neither can you bear
fruit unless you abide in Me
(John 153-5) I am the Vine you are the
branches. If a man abides in Me and I in him, he
will bear much fruit apart from Me you can do
nothing.

Notice three Conditions of Abiding 1. Already
clean no amount of effort can bring about
cleansing from sin
2. Must abide fruitfulness is not a result
of any other discipline
3. Much fruit the result of the Abiding
Life is one that is never mediocre
4The Abounding Life
- (John 156-7) If anyone does not abide in Me, he
is like a branch that is thrown away and withers
such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire
and burned
(John 156-7) If you abide in Me and My Words
abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will
be given you.
