CURRICULUM TEAM
  • Correlate LoTi with curriculum in all content
    areas
  • Contribute to LoTi Staff Development and Planning
  • Attend LoTi training as needed

Administrator/ PDAS Evaluator
  • One HEAT Walk-Through
  • Will be part of PDAS
  • Can be ANY lesson (new LoTi lesson, existing
    campus LoTi lesson, or District Character LoTi
    lesson) that is agreeable with the evaluator
  • Lessons observed can include those that have not
    yet been evaluated
  • Attend LoTi training as needed

TEACHER
  • LoTi lesson(s) created can be either group or
    individual. The district will be moving toward
    group lessons developed by curriculum teams
    targeting weak TAKS objectives.
  • All NEW LoTi lessons will follow the same process
    for submission and evaluation as the previous
    year
  • The teacher has the choice from one of the
    following
  • The teacher will create two NEW LoTi lessons and
    teach the two LoTi lessons created.
  • OR
  • The teacher will create and teach one NEW LoTi
    lesson and the teacher will teach a Character
    Education LoTi Lesson that has been previously
    created (These lessons are posted on the
    Character Website)

HEAT SELF EVALUATION FORM
  • HEAT Self Evaluations must be completed for each
    of the two lessons taught
  • Email Self Evaluation for the NEW LoTi lesson to
    the Administrative Evaluator within the timeframe
    designated for the campus
  • Email Self Evaluation for the Character Education
    LoTi lesson to the Administrative Evaluator and
    the Character Grant Coordinator (Leanne Marshall)
    within the timeframe designated for the campus
  • Attend LoTi training as needed

EXAMPLE ONE
  • Teacher Ezzell creates two new LoTi lessons.
  • (Remembershe may have done this as a group or
    as an individual.)
  • She then teaches both new LoTi lessons and
    completes a HEAT self-evaluation form for each
    lesson created and taught.

EXAMPLE TWO
  • Teacher Reile creates one new LoTi lesson.
  • She then teaches the lesson and completes a HEAT
    self evaluation form for the lesson created.
  • Teacher Reile then decides to teach one of the
    Character Education LoTi lessons from the
    Character Website.
  • She then completes a HEAT self evaluation form
    for the Character lesson taught and sends it to
    her Evaluator and the District Character Ed.
    Grant Coordinator (Leanne Marshall).
