A matrix presented as a framework to
contextualise the business start up process and
outline the range of support required for
curriculum development.
3Two Model Structure
The curriculum development provided within this
two model structure indicates the areas of
development required to progress through the
business start up process.
The axis of the supporting entrepreneurial
skills matrix are provided by two models one
that outlines the phases of business start up
(A-G) whilst the other draws out the personal
elements (1-6) required by the aspirant
entrepreneur (the knowledge, self awareness and
approach).

has been used effectively to support students
through the business start up process. It shows
the development of first idea through business
