iscussion Due to BRAC-COE increased training
load and the consolidation of AIT on Ft. Lee
(from Ft. AP Hill, APG, Redstone Arsenal, Ft.
Eustis), the installation has identified a
requirement for a range control facility capable
of conducting 24 hour operations, needed to
control the live fire range complex. This is
especially critical due to the close proximity of
major civilian thoroughfares and urban
encroachment (Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Prince
George, and Petersburg).

- Issue Realign FTX related range requirements to
FT AP Hill - Discussion
- The SCoE has changed the location of the TRADOC
mandated 5 day AIT FTX from Ft Lee, VA to FT AP
Hill, VA. The QMCS will begin 100 of its FTX at
FAPH beginning Jan 09. The OCS will begin
arriving in the 4th QTR of FY09 and culminate to
100 in 4th QTR FY11. TCS will only have one
course (88N) participating in the FTX and that
course load begins training at FAPH in the 1st
QTR of FY11. - The SCoE will utilize ranges for M16A2/M4
qualification/ zero Convoy Live Fire Range
