The Norwegian Packaging Association (DNE)

• DNE was established 1969
• Currently, we have approximately 210 members,
  who represents packaging producers, packaging
  users and fillers
• Retail, packaging machinery, research
  institutions and other companies working in the
  filed of packaging
• Approximately 80 of the volume from the
  manufactures and 50 from the packers and fillers

Our main objectives

• Shall be an executive and coordinating agency for
  the professional and trade interests, present in
  all parts of the total circuit of packaging
• We Inform members, government, media, different
  kinds of institutions and public agencies about
  the impact of packaging in modern society
• We coordinate new political decisions, agreements
  and standards. We have meetings with governmental
  representatives and organisations, and private
  companies with big influence for our business

Information

• www.dne.no is our most important information
  channel
• Our web sites has an increasing amount of users.
  Daily unique users are more than 400.
• 1100 persons receives automatically news from the
  websites on e-mail, and there is an increase from
  non members for information they have found on
  www.dne.no
• We monthly send out a newsletter to our members
• We make brochures of different items, like DNE
  Education, Emballasjeforsk, and annual reports
• We continuously send out press realises to
  different magazines and websites

Secretariat

• Emballasjeforsk, an association of interests
  between the packaging industry and governmental
  research and development programs. Established
  1998
• Næringslivets Emballasjeoptimeringskomite (NOK),
  (The Norwegian committee for Packaging
  Optimization)
• Norsk Flexo Forum (The Norwegian Flexo Forum),
  established 1985, and cooperating with the
  International Flexographic Technical Association
  (IFTA). Norsk Flexo Forum is an association for
  companies and people with interests within this
  print method.
