Getting Started

• You will need the following to register
• Student Access Code (in the Student Access Kit
  that came with your new textbook or you can
  purchase access online if you have a used book)
• Connection to the Internet (you will need to go
  to http//www.astronomyplace.com)
• Class ID number obtained from your instructor
  (example cm192683) If your instructor does not
  give you a Class ID number, you can still
  register and use the website.

Go to www.astronomyplace.com and click on the
cover of the textbook youre using.
On the following screen, click Register. You
can also purchase online access here by clicking
on Buy Now.

Type in your access code and your schools Zip
Code. Choose your School Country from the
pull-down menu and click the Next button.
Type in your name and e-mail address, choose your
school from the pull-down menu, and choose a
Login Name and Password. Then choose a security
question and enter the answer. Click Next.

You will then be given a Confirmation and Summary
of your registration. You are now ready to
explore The Astronomy Place. For Technical
Support, click on the Tech Support button at the
top of the screen and fill out the online product
support request form.
