What is the message?
  • The risks of noise go beyond hearing loss
    (synergy with other workplace factors).
  • Noise goes beyond traditionally loud industries
    it can affect millions of workers in the
    service sector (entertainment, education, call
    centres etc).
  • Noise is a complex issue and can be a problem in
    any workplace but it can be tackled successfully.
  • 2003 EU directive which sets new noise exposure
    limit is to be implemented in Member States by
    Feb 2006
