September 2002 recommended to complete the first
and second generation harmonised product
standards as short and midterm priorities. -

4Fast track procedure
- New Fast Track Procedure
- CSN asks CEN/BT to develop a more effective fast
track procedure to enable amendments of European
Standards to be published quicker than via the
Unique Acceptance Procedure (UAP).
5Task Group for durability
The CEN Construction Sector Network Workshop
recommended the establishment of a task group to
address the issue of durability in harmonised
product standards.
6Environmental aspects
- The CEN Construction Sector Network Workshop
stresses the need for a workshop on environmental
aspects in co-operation between construction and
environment CEN/TC's
7Informative documents
- The CEN Construction Sector Network Workshop asks
that CEN Technical Committees to develop short
informative documents for designers and
contractors to explain the content and choices
for the use of each product in a harmonised
European Standard. - In order to ensure a consistent approach a
template should be developed by the CSN Core
Group with the help of FIEC.
